Schedule of Charges 2011 – Client Information

Clear, Upfront & Consistent Pricing: Creative Design – from £50

JNB Publishing is committed to providing transparent and upfront pricing so that in most cases the price you see is the price you pay. In order to achieve this we make assumptions, based on the project, to include the relevant services at the time of quoting. Unless otherwise stated our design fee assumes that all of the following are supplied:

1. A brief outlining the aims, objectives and any specific creative requirements of the design project.
2. Electronic supply of company logo and any other corporate identity elements (including special fonts) if required.
3. Text to be used as part of the project in a suitable electronic format such s MS Word or .txt files.
4. Any specific images supplied at suitable resolution for the specific project, typically 300dpi at 100% of size.
   

Should your project require additional services, we will provide them at the following rates in addition to the price quoted. Your account manager will advise you if any additional charges will be accrued however we ask that you familiarise yourself with the following:

Inclusive Amendments - Free

Our Creative Design fee includes three sets of soft (electronic/ PDF) proofs and two amendment sessions; first proof, revised proof and final proof. If you are able to group your amendments into the included sessions there are no additional charges applied.

Additional Amendments – from £10

After the Final Proof has been supplied, any additional amendments are charged at £50 per hour, chargeable by the minute (minimum charge £10 per session).

Printed Proofs – from £10

Soft (electronic/ PDF) proofs are provided within the above charges. You may request hard copy proofs which are charged at our standard digital print rates to a minimum of £10.

Corrective Artwork – from £20

Supplied artwork must conform to the PPA industry standard Pass4press specifications including bleed and crop marks. In cases where files do not meet this standard we can provide a corrective artwork service which is available from £20 per page.

Copy Typing (from hard copy) - £10 up to 500 words, 5p per word thereafter

If you are unable to supply your text in a suitable electronic format we can copy type from a hard copy original at the above charges.

Creative Copy Writing - £50 up to 250 words, 20p per word thereafter

Copy writing includes research, composition of copy from an outline brief and proofreading. Amendments and re-writes may be charged for at our discretion.

Proofreading – from £20 per hour

Minimum charge of £20. Flat rates may be negotiated for multiple page documents.

Photography - £30 per hour/     £100 half day (4 hours) / £175 full day (8 hours)

If you require bespoke photography we can provide creative photography shoots at the above rates which includes electronic supply of all digital images, excluding any editing.

Image Sourcing – from £30

We offer access to an extensive database of high resolution royalty free images which are chargeable unless specifically included within the design fee quotation.  This is charged per search criteria; with up to 3 images to choose from per search. All images supplied by JNB Publishing are subject to copyright laws and are not permitted to be used for any other purposes.

Scanning – from £20 per scan

High resolution scanning of documents and images up to A3 in size will be charged depending on quantity and size of the original documents to a minimum of £20

Delivery

JNB Publishing has an in-house delivery service and works in partnership with global logistic partners to get your job delivered wherever it needs to be. Prices can change depending on item weight, size, quantity and location plus the service you require such as same-day, overnight, pre noon or pre 10am. The following prices are a guide to local delivery on items up to 20kg – other items will be quoted on request:

Cancelation

We will not start a project without approval from you however should you wish to cancel the job after this point you will be liable to pay any design and or production costs that have been accrued up to this point.

Approval

All jobs will be proofed with the client prior to printing or completing an order. JNB Publishing accepts no responsibility for errors or omissions in artwork once final approval has been given by the client. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that they are entirely happy to proceed to print, or completion, before approving a proof. Once approval is given after which any changes to artwork, however minimal, may result in charges to cover pre-production work that has taken place, or re-printing.

Unless agreed otherwise prior to commencement of work, all artwork produced remains the property of JNB Publishing and may not be used for any other purposes without express permission. We reserve the right to refuse or make a charge for supplying artwork to a third party.
